Most people take an Uber, Lyft, or a car service from San Diego International Airport to Coronado. Crossing the famous Coronado Bridge, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the San Diego skyline.

Should I take the Coronado Ferry to Downtown?
Yes — it’s a scenic and affordable way to cross the bay between downtown San Diego and Coronado. It’s particularly pretty at golden hour or after sunset when the nighttime skyline reflects on the bay.
Tickets are inexpensive, and it’s the oldest operating wooden ferry in the country. However, it’s not usually a practical option for airport transfers, since you’d need to take an Uber or taxi to the ferry, cross the bay, and then likely catch another Uber to your hotel in Coronado with your luggage.
Do I need to rent a car?
