Connie keen to build a supportive community

April 2025 saw three more MAN v FAT Soccer clubs go live, with Long Island City, New Rochelle and Sunset Park joining our international brotherhood of men looking to improve their health and wellbeing.

New leagues mean new coaches joining our staff, aiming to guide guys to a better place in life. In our Sunset Park club, we’re joined by Connie, an experienced health and wellbeing coach.

She told us more about what she hopes to achieve as part of the MAN v FAT coaching family.

Tell us a bit about you!

I was born and raised in Saint Lucia, but Brooklyn has been home for over 15 years. My own journey taught me that true wellness goes beyond the physical—it’s a balance of mind, body, and spirit.

I hold certifications in Nutrition, Weight Loss, Exercise Recovery, and Yoga, along with a Master’s in Metaphysical Science focused on the mind-body connection to healing. I’m also a PhD candidate specializing in ancestral healing through science and metaphysics.

Holistic wellness is my passion, and I’m committed to helping others feel empowered, energized, and aligned—inside and out.

What was it that made you want to get involved in MANV v FAT Sunset Park?

I had been looking for meaningful ways to support men in their wellness journeys, and the moment I learned about MAN v FAT, I knew I had to be part of it. This is more than a weight loss program—it’s a movement of empowerment, connection, and transformation that goes way beyond the pitch.

The way it brings fitness, accountability, and brotherhood together through the love of the game spoke straight to my soul. It’s inspiring to see initiatives that provide men with a supportive environment to make positive changes in their lives through a sport they love. It’s an honor to be part of this movement!

How would you describe your coaching and wellbeing support style?

My coaching style is holistic, conscious, and intuitive. While I hold multiple certifications, what sets my approach apart is my deep understanding of the mind-body connection and how it influences lasting wellness. I tune into each person’s energy and needs, knowing when to challenge and when to pause.

I lead with compassion—not judgment. I believe true transformation happens when you feel safe, seen, and supported. My superpower is motivation and accountability—I know how to inspire people to show up for themselves and stay committed to their goals, one conscious step (in this case, a kick) at a time.

The goal is to create a community where members support each other—both on and off the field. A space where camaraderie thrives, everyone feels like they belong, and while the main focus is weight loss and soccer, it also includes overall wellbeing and meaningful connection.

Brooklyn’s motto, “Unity makes strength,” perfectly captures what I envision for the Sunset Park league. This borough is a beautiful blend of cultures, and I believe in harnessing that diversity to build something powerful. Seeing members unite, uplift one another, and strive toward huge weight loss and transformed lives would be truly amazing.

Joining MAN v FAT Soccer offers more than just a chance to play; it’s an opportunity to embark on a transformative journey. Participants gain access to structured support, accountability, and a community that understands their challenges. It’s a step towards better health, increased confidence, and meaningful connections. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never kicked a ball, or haven’t played since high school, no one is going to judge you! So sign up today!
