What’s in “No Churn” Ice Cream

These recipes are made with only a few ingredients: organic heavy whipping cream, oragnic sweetened condensed milk, vanilla paste or extract, and whatever you are adding…chocolate bits, fruit, caramel etc…

So, “How Does No Churn” Ice Cream Work?

It’s so simple it’s almost crazy. Why did anyone ever think we needed an ice cream maker to make ice cream? Believe it or not, you simply beat together heavy whipping cream, vanilla,  and sweetened condensed milk until peaks form, like whipped cream. Then you make your additions, pour into a container and freeze for at least 4 hours. Almost zero effort required!

A Couple of Things You’ll Want on Hand:

You will need a  hand mixer or stand mixer (or even hand whisk!) to literally whip these recipes up! To store ice cream I recommend a glass baking dish with lid or Tovolo Ice Cream Containers.  And when it comes to vanilla, I always recommend vanilla paste over extract, it has less alcohol so that vanilla flavor shines through! And last, sweetened condensed milk is featured in each of these recipes. Making your own sweetened condensed milk  (<—recipe) is really easy, but of course are some really good organic brands out there!
