The brand’s latest announcements mark a significant expansion across both land and sea with the introduction of Amansamar, an ultra-luxury desert resort and residence development nestled in the majestic landscapes of Wadi Safar near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Amangati, Aman’s first-ever luxury motor yacht, set to sail the Mediterranean in 2027.

Amansamar, a luxurious desert retreat in Saudi Arabia
Currently under construction in the desert of Wadi Safar, just outside Riyadh and near the historic UNESCO World Heritage Site of Diriyah, Amansamar is poised to become a jewel in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving luxury hospitality landscape. The name “Amansamar” — which translates to “the peaceful acacia tree” — is deeply symbolic. In desert culture, the acacia tree represents quiet strength, endurance, and calm — qualities that Aman has long embodied in its design philosophy and guest experience.
Designed as a sanctuary amid the arid beauty of the Saudi desert, the resort is being brought to life by the legendary architect Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston. His vision for Amansamar emphasizes seamless integration with the natural terrain. Expect low-profile structures, sun-drenched courtyards, and indoor-outdoor living spaces that blur the lines between architecture and the environment.
Amansamar will feature 80 hotel keys, each designed to uphold Aman’s core values of minimalism, peace, and privacy. In true Aman style, the interiors will reflect a refined simplicity — natural materials, calming color palettes, and generous space. In addition to the resort, Amansamar will also include a limited collection of Aman-branded residences — ultra-luxurious, fully serviced homes that redefine desert living. These five- to six-bedroom estates will each span an impressive 9,000 square meters. Thoughtfully positioned across cliffs and desert plains, they will offer sweeping views, year-round sunlight, and the seclusion Aman is celebrated for.
Amansamar will provide a wide array of high-end facilities designed to enhance the physical and emotional well-being of its guests and residents. At the center of the resort will be the Aman Spa, a wellness sanctuary offering traditional hammam and banya houses, advanced hydrotherapy experiences, and ersonalized spa treatments rooted in both ancient healing practices and modern techniques. The resort will also feature a Racquet Club, ideal for tennis and paddle sports enthusiasts, as well as multiple swimming pools surrounded by shaded lounging areas. For families, the resort will include a thoughtfully designed Kids’ Club, ensuring that guests of all ages have access to enriching and enjoyable activities.
In addition to these amenities, owners of the Amansamar residences will enjoy membership in a private Residence Club, granting them exclusive privileges, personalized services, and bespoke experiences. Homeowners will also be invited to join Aman’s global private member network, which includes curated events and access to Aman’s elite communities in cities such as Tokyo, New York, and Bangkok. Amansamar represents a major milestone in Aman’s continued expansion across the Middle East, a region that is rapidly becoming a global destination for luxury hospitality and transformative travel experiences. The resort will join several other Aman properties in the region, including:

Amangati, the brand’s first ultra-luxury yacht
The announcement of Amansamar comes on the heels of another groundbreaking project for Aman – Amangati, a luxury motor yacht currently being developed in collaboration with Cruise Saudi. This innovative project marks Aman’s entrance into the world of maritime luxury, setting a new benchmark for seaborne travel experiences. The name Amangati means “peaceful motion” in Sanskrit, serving as a poetic reflection of the yacht’s purpose and design. It captures the essence of effortless movement and serene exploration — values that align perfectly with Aman’s commitment to peace, discretion, and refined living.
Currently under construction at the renowned shipyard T.Mariotti S.p.A. in Genoa, Italy, Amangati is scheduled to make its maiden voyage in the summer of 2027. Once launched, Amangati will offer a highly refined onboard experience. The yacht will feature sophisticated interiors and luxurious suites, all designed with Aman’s signature minimalist aesthetic. Every detail will be crafted to create a calm and elevated atmosphere that mirrors the brand’s land-based resorts. The yacht will sail along curated itineraries throughout the Mediterranean, visiting some of the region’s most beautiful and culturally rich destinations. In addition to scheduled voyages, Amangati will be available for private charter, offering guests the opportunity to explore the seas in complete exclusivity and comfort.
