  • 50g oats  
  • 125ml unsweetened apple juice
  • 150ml semi-skimmed milk  
  • 1 medium dessert apple, diced  
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon 
  • Throw all the ingredients into a saucepan, keeping a few pieces of apple aside.
  • Cook over a medium heat until boiling then lower the heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  • Spoon the porridge into a serving bowl and top with the remaining apple and add a sprinkle of cinnamon.

TIPS AND TWEAKS

Try topping your porridge with a handful of berries or a sliced banana to add flavour and more of your 5 a day!
