My Experience with Apollo Neuro:

When I first starting wearing the Apollo Neuro, it felt a little strange. Strange to use a device that interfaces with your nervous system – and also it looks a little odd wearing an ankle bracelet. The fam likes to joke that I’m on house arrest. 😅

It’s all good, and completely worth it, because the Apollo Neuro has been a total game-changer for me. As someone who runs two online sites and businesses, manages a household of five and 3 pets, and navigates this quickly evolving world, stress management is key.

Since incorporating Apollo into my routine, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in my stress levels. I’m more centered, less anxious (I have generalized anxiety and PTSD), and I sleep so much better. In fact, some days I sleep in! That hasn’t happened for me in decades.

How do I use the Apollo Neuro

In the morning, I take it off and charge it while I meditate. Later in the morning, when exercising and doing my flo, I put it on ENERGY mode. After exercising, I put on RECOVERY mode. I don’t always use it in the afternoon, but if I’ve had any stressful events and feel my nervous system is agitated, I set it to RECOVERY. The recover setting helps modulate those stressful events. At dinnertime, I charge it again, and then after dinner I put on CALM followed by UNWIND when I meditate before bed. Then, at bedtime I put on SLEEP mode.

The effects were not instant. You may notice some shifts within the first few weeks, but I’m noticing far more using it regularly for a couple of months. Regular use makes the difference. Cons:

  • The design isn’t bulky per se, but I imagine future models may be a little smaller, and the ankle bracelet sleeker.
  • I have the black color, and in hindsight I think one of the lighter colors would be better to ‘camouflage’ the unit. It depends on when/where you are using it. If wearing in the fall and winter it would be less noticeable than in the summer.
  • There is an upgrade to additional modes and a full-night’s sleep mode. Again, it won’t break the bank, and you don’t need to pay an annual fee to use the regular settings.
