Independence Blue Cross (IBX) and The Philadelphia Tribune recently launched the next phase of Our Community. Our Health. with fresh perspectives and a shared purpose — to raise awareness of important health issues and empower individuals and families to make informed decisions about their health.
The latest phase highlights caregiver health through the voices and experiences of trusted community leaders. These ambassadors help deliver health information and practical solutions that support healthier lives and stronger communities.
The fall campaign welcomes two new ambassadors:
- Ellyn Jo Waller, First Lady, Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church
- Reverend Carolyn C. Cavaness, Mother Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church
They join returning ambassadors:
- Joe Meade, Comcast Spectacor
- Loree Jones Brown, Philabundance
Our Community. Our Health. engages Philadelphia residents through social media, ambassador videos, a comprehensive website with downloadable resources, and print advertisements in The Philadelphia Tribune.
Since its launch in 2020, Our Community. Our Health. has helped address health disparities by providing information and resources focused on issues such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, maternal health, and more. The campaign will continue to raise awareness of important health topics while supporting the health and well-being of the diverse communities we serve.
