What is Bang Bang Sauce?
Bang Bang Sauce is an Asian-inspired condiment that was popularized by the chefs at Bonefish Grill. Inspired by Bang Bang Chicken from Sichuan, China, the American Chinese version is made to be tossed in a bowl with crispy shrimp for Bang Bang Shrimp. This condiment is creamy, a bit spicy, and a little sweet.

Bang Bang Sauce Q&A
- Is Bang Bang Sauce spicy? Only a bit, depending on your tolerance for spice. The heat comes mostly from the sriracha, which you can reduce or increase depending on taste.
- What does it taste like? It’s creamy with sweetness from the Thai sweet chili sauce and spice from sriracha. It’s like across between aioli, sriracha mayo, and yum yum sauce.
- How do you make it? Simply whisk ingredients together in a bowl until well mixed—as ridiculously easy as making Asian salad dressing.
