What was your motivation?
My biggest motivation was my son. I wanted to be healthy, present, and full of life for him. There were times that I wanted to give up, but I reminded myself that he was watching me. I needed to show him what it looks like to fight for yourself and never settle for less than your best.
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed my eating habits completely. I cut out processed foods, sugary drinks, fried foods, and late-night snacking. I focused on portion control, drinking more water, and eating fresh vegetables, lean proteins, and fruit. I didn’t follow a specific fad program. This was a natural lifestyle change for me.
Tell us about your workout routine.
I started with simple cardio walking daily. Then, I added in light workouts. Over time, I built up to a routine that included cardio, light strength training, and movement I actually enjoyed. It wasn’t about doing the most challenging workout; it was about staying consistent.
How often did you work out?
I worked out about 4–5 times per week. Even on days I didn’t feel like going hard, I made sure that I moved my body.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 330 pounds.
My current weight is 150 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’1″ tall.
When did you begin your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in March 2023. My transformation took two years. By March 1, 2025, I celebrated my Journeyversary, down 180 lbs total.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No surgery. This was 100% natural.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that weight loss is deeper than just the scale; it’s about healing, discipline, and self-love. I realized my health is my wealth, and I’m capable of doing hard things.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
Don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Take it one day, one pound, and one healthy choice at a time. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be consistent. Trust the process, stay patient, and celebrate every victory, no matter how small.
