We are delighted to welcome two new faculty members: Amy Killelea and Zeynep Çelik.

Amy Killelea, J.D. is an Assistant Research Professor at CHIR. Their research focuses on access to affordable, comprehensive health coverage for people with insulin-requiring diabetes, preventive services and vaccine coverage policy, and prior authorization.
Amy has extensive experience in public health law and policy. Amy began their career providing legal services to people living with HIV who faced access challenges to healthcare, including discrimination, affordability, and stigma. Since then, Amy has worked with federal, state, and local governments and community-based organizations to identify and implement systemic solutions to public health and health care access challenges, including insurance coverage regulations, 340B policies, and other drug pricing reforms to improve access to HIV and hepatitis medications. Amy received their B.A. from Smith College and J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Zeynep Çelik is a Research Fellow at the Center on Health Insurance Reforms (CHIR) at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. At CHIR, her research focuses on access and affordability in diabetes care and medical debt protections.
Prior to joining CHIR, Zeynep worked as a consultant at KPMG, supporting the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) with data analytics related to surprise billing tracking and issuer activity in state and federal insurance markets.
Zeynep received a Master of International Development Policy from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. She has also earned a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Georgetown University.
