Lately, I’ve been really getting into making homemade salad dressings. It’s super fun to shake up all the ingredients and adjust the taste exactly how I like it. I never realized how easy it was! This homemade balsamic dressing is tangy and fresh, with a hint of sweetness that complements salads, chicken, appetizers, and so much more.
What is Balsamic Dressing?
Not to be confused with balsamic glaze, which needs to be cooked over heat and reduced to a thick syrup-like condiment, balsamic dressing is a simple balsamic vinegar- and olive oil-based salad dressing vinaigrette that is shaken up in a bottle and poured over salads, appetizers, and more.

- Balsamic vinegar – with a rich and sweet taste, this is the base for your dressing. Make sure to pick a quality one you like the flavor and aroma of
 - Honey – with just 1 tablespoon of honey, we’re going for just a hint of sweetness in this lightly sweet balsamic dressing
 - Dijon mustard – this ingredient adds a little tanginess and a touch of spice

 - Salt & pepper – add as much or as little as you’d like to suit your preferences

- In a medium bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt and pepper.
 - Continuing to whisk, slowly drizzle in olive oil, whisking until emulsified. You’ve just made balsamic dressing!
