MAN v FAT Millwall are ready to go toe to toe with their Preston opponents when the two sides come together in the MAN v FAT XIs National Final on Saturday 31st May.
The London side will make the trip north to Bury’s Gigg Lane stadium at the weekend, looking to deny Preston a third consecutive title.
Having also impressed at the national small sided tournament in 2024, Millwall have a strong football pedigree and are ready to get into action this weekend.
Brad Hunter, the MAN v FAT Millwall manager, told us: “We’re over the moon to finally reach the final, as we’ve been close for the last two years. It’s all down to the hard work and perseverance of the squad.
“All the boys of the boys have been committed, putting in the time and effort and wanting to be the best we can.”
When the whistle blows on Saturday, it is sure to be a competitive fixture with silverware on the line but, either side of the ninety minutes, there’s a lot of respect for Brad for their weekend opponents.
He added: “All I know of Preston is that they are an amazing side and their record speaks for itself. You don’t win nationals two years on the bounce by luck and John works very hard to make them a success, so all credit to him.”
Millwall have impressed on the scales in recent seasons and the MAN v FAT players have developed a tight knit group.
Reaching the National XIs Final has cemented that, as Brad confirmed: “We’re not just a club, we’re a family; it’s brought a real feel good factor to everyone involved and our families too.”
We’ll be at Gigg Lane on Saturday to capture the action, so stay tuned to see how the game unfolds!
