Natasha lost 19 pounds – Black Weight Loss Success

Transformation of the Day: Natasha lost 19 pounds. She was determined to lower her A1C without medication, so she committed to getting healthy and working with a coach for accountability and guidance.

What was your motivation?
I knew I needed to make a change to lose belly fat. I also wanted to get healthier and lower my A1C without getting on medication, which I was able to accomplish while working with my coach, Monique!

What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
What inspired me to keep going was having accountability from Monique to keep showing up, which helped me tremendously. I was also motivated to keep going because I knew I needed to lose weight and lower my A1C before my next doctor’s appointment to stay off medication.

How did you change your eating habits?
I broke the bad habit of always eating and craving sweets. I incorporated more protein into every meal and ate food with more nutrients, which helped keep the cravings down.

What is your workout routine?
I did strength training by doing primarily home workouts. I switched between bodyweight and dumbbell workouts at home and occasionally did gym workouts.

How often did you work out?
I work out four times a week.

What was your starting weight?
What is your current weight? My starting weight at the beginning of the Sculpt My Body program was 242 pounds. My weight at the end of the program was 223 pounds.

What is your height?
I’m 5’8″.

When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started working with Monique in November 2023, and we worked together until March 2024, so it took a total of four months.

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I didn’t have weight loss surgery: just hard work, discipline and dedication!

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Your eating and eating habits are everything! If you don’t have that together, then other areas of your health are going to suffer.

What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
If I can do it, SO CAN YOU! This transformation IS possible for you, as long as you don’t give up on yourself! You ARE worth it! Be patient and stay the course, and you WILL see progress and get results!
