MAN v FAT are delighted to reveal that they will welcome World Cup winner Sir Geoff Hurst as a special guest to its annual Awards, held this year at Villa Park.
As Thomas Tuchel prepares to take his England squad to the USA this summer, Sir Geoff will be on hand to regale the MAN v FAT community with stories of his World Cup successes in 1966, as well as the history of his fantastic football career.
As well as becoming the first player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup Final, Sir Geoff also enjoyed an illustrious club career.
He scored a total of 228 goals in 561 appearances, where he won the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners Cup with West Ham.
“We are delighted to welcome Sir Geoff to the MAN v FAT Awards,” Director of MAN v FAT Richard Crick said.
“In a World Cup year, it will be fantastic to hear the stories of his career and his life in football.
“The Awards is already shaping up to be a brilliant event already, so adding Sir Geoff into the evening will take it to another level.”
Shortlists for the Awards categories are due to be released in the coming days and, with it, the full ticketing details for what promises to be a night to remember!
