In my humble opinion peaches are the absolute best summer fruit. I love them added to cottage cheese for a high protein/antioxidant powerhouse snack. That said, I use them all kinds of ways. So here are my favorite Ten Peach Recipes for Summer!

Let’s Chat About Stone Fruit:
Peaches are a stone fruit. ‘Stone fruits’ have a thick flesh that surrounds a large single pit…think cherries, plums, nectarines, peaches, apricots etc. Stone fruits are known to be high in cancer fighting properties such as phenols, vitamin B17 and vitamin C. So take advantage of their healthful properties while they are in season and eat them as is, or add them to oatmeal, cereal and of course, salads!
Using “Free-Stone” Peaches or “Cling” Peaches?
What is the difference between “cling” peaches and “free stone” peaches? Cling peaches literally cling to the pit, making them perfect for eating like an apple or for making slices for salads, but not as convenient when you want to cut the peach and have a perfect half (for grilling as an example). Cling peahces are available form May-August. Freestone peaches on the other hand separate easily and the pit falls right out, making them perfect for any recipe calling for a perfect half peach. Free stone peaches are usually available from mid-June to mid-August. Depending on the recipe, it may be more convenient to use one or the other.
Now that you know all about peahchs, let’s get to the recipes!
