Meet our neeeeeeighbors!
We have discovered we live next to a farm! There are horses and cows that we visit while out on our evening scooter walks. Sometimes they are way out in the pasture, and sometimes they’re right up by the fence! They are nice and friendly. Guess we’re country folk now!

And here is the view when we had two days of wildfire smoke haze make its way to Virginia.
That same day, we had planned to celebrate Sean’s birthday at Blenheim Vineyards and moved the party indoors due to the air quality concerns. We still had a great time with an Amalfi Coast theme!! Everyone came dressed in blues and whites.
No amount of gum graft surgery could keep me from eating this cake! It was a vanilla cake from Wegmans with lemon filling, and Savannah the wedding planner decorated it beautifully with fresh lemons and hydrangeas!

After the winery, we went to Whiskey Jar for dinner, where I consumed this entire blackened catfish with delicious grits underneath. It was my first real meal since Wednesday and I was starving!
