If you’re looking for an easy garlic dipping sauce recipe that you can use for pizza, vegetables, grilled meats or wings, this is the sauce! It’s made of just seven ingredients and comes together in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients for Garlic Dipping Sauce
- Whole, plain yogurt
- Mayonnaise – I used Sir Kensington’s
- Granulated garlic
- Parsley
- Olive oil
- Lemon juice
- Celtic sea salt
How to Make Garlic Dipping Sauce
You whisk all of the ingredients together and you’re done!
Why I Use Whole, Plain Yogurt
Yogurt might not be the first thing you think of for a dipping sauce, but it works so well here. Whole milk yogurt is thicker and creamier than low-fat/processed versions. It also adds a little tang that balances out the richness of the mayo.
If you can find a yogurt made from grass-fed milk, even better. The quality of your ingredients really does make a difference in simple recipes like this one.
A Note on the Mayo
Not all mayo is created equal. A lot of store-bought mayo is made with refined seed oils, which I avoid. Sir Kensington’s is made with avocado oil and has a clean ingredient list, which is why I keep it on hand.
If you have a brand you already love, go ahead and use it. Just check the label and look for one without a long list of additives.

Tips for the Best Garlic Dipping Sauce
- Use granulated garlic, not garlic powder. Granulated garlic has a slightly coarser texture and a more mellow flavor. It blends into the sauce without tasting sharp or raw.
- Fresh lemon juice is worth it. Fresh juice gives the sauce a brighter taste.
- Let it sit for a few minutes, or up to an hour before serving. The flavors come together even more after a short rest. Pop it in the fridge while you finish cooking.
- Taste and adjust. Everyone likes a little more or less garlic, salt, or lemon. Make it your own.
