Erin supporting Hatfield men on their wellbeing journey

May 2026 saw MAN v FAT launch its latest batch of MAN v FAT Soccer leagues, with a host of new locations getting started.

That included Hatfield in Pennsylvania and the group of guys there have got off to a bright start, having lost over 100lbs in the first half of their opening season.

They’re being led through their time with MAN v FAT by Erin Curry and she brings a wealth of expertise which is playing a big part in the early successes. We caught up with her to find out more.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your professional background

I am a Graduate from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Education and Promotion and a minor in Mandarin Chinese. I did my internship at Hancock Health and Wellness, there I worked with people on both a nutritional aspect and fitness aspect to help them meet weight goals or work with them on lifestyle changes they want to make. I also lead a class on Wegovy and Ozempic, going over how they work, diet and exercise that comes with the drugs.

Since then, I moved out to Pennsylvania and started working as a Physical Therapy aide and complete my medical interpretation licensing. I am hoping to continue on not only my health journey but work to gain my Health and Wellness Coach Certification.

What inspired you to get involved with MAN v FAT Soccer and support the men in your area?

I am a person that likes having a group of people with goal(s) similar to mine. From my own experience, knowing how much having a group or friend to workout with has made a huge impact on my health journey, I want to provide that experience for others.

How would you describe your coaching and wellbeing style?

I want to be open and helpful. From my own experience on weight loss, the journey is frustrating. I have been working hard in gaining knowledge on what helps and what doesn’t. I am excited to share what I have learned. I also want to come off as non-judgmental and open. I like to think of myself as a caring person and I just want to help people be happy and safely meet their weight goals.

What kind of community are you hoping to build at your MAN v FAT league?

An open and welcoming community.

Why should men in the area consider joining this program?

The journey for losing weight is not easy. There are a lot of fad diets and workouts out there for weight loss, sadly everyone is different making everyone’s weight loss journey different. I’d say just be ready for the challenge and try to have fun with it.

Ready to get started?

If you want to join Erin and the guys in Hatfield, you can register today at the league homepage!
