Independence Blue Cross expands 2027 Medicare Advantage options with new Keystone 65 Assured HMO

Affordable plan options combine trusted provider access with benefits that support healthy aging

As rising health care costs and continued changes reshape the Medicare Advantage market, Independence Blue Cross (IBX) is expanding its 2027 lineup with a new HMO option designed to give Medicare beneficiaries another affordable choice. During the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period beneficiaries can select coverage that supports their health, budget, and goals for healthy aging.

For 2027, members can choose from Keystone 65 HMO and HMO-POS options and Personal Choice 65SM PPO plans. Many plans feature low or $0 monthly premiums, $0 primary care visits, preventive care at no additional cost, and medical and prescription drug coverage. Members also have access to one of the region’s largest networks of doctors and hospitals, helping them receive care from providers they know and trust.

New for 2027, Keystone 65 Assured HMO adds another affordable Medicare Advantage option for beneficiaries to consider based on their health care needs and budget.

“Medicare beneficiaries are facing more choices and continued change in today’s market,” said Kortney Cruz, senior vice president of Government Markets at Independence Blue Cross. “Our focus is straightforward: offer affordable coverage, access to trusted doctors and hospitals, and benefits that help people stay healthy and independent. That is what our 2027 Medicare Advantage portfolio is designed to deliver.”

  • $0 copays on select prescription drugs at preferred pharmacies: Plus, members can make fewer trips to the pharmacy with a 100-day supply on select medications.
  • Convenient, connected care: $0 telemedicine visits, nurse support services, and wellness resources that provide access to care and guidance.
  • Whole-person health: Vision, hearing, and dental benefits on select plans, including routine exams, eyewear allowances, hearing aid benefits, and comprehensive dental coverage options.
