Independence Health Group President and CEO Kelly Munson joined Kevin Mahoney, CEO of Penn Medicine Health System, on a panel at the 2026 Health Evolution Connect. The conference took place in Nashville, Tennessee from September 27-29.
During the session, Munson and Mahoney discussed Medicaid through the perspectives of health plans and health systems, including the challenges facing the program and opportunities for organizations to work together to best serve their members and communities.
The conversation reinforced the importance of partnership across the health care industry as leaders work to expand access, improve affordability, and deliver better health outcomes.
