Our Place Always Pan 2.0 & Our Place Perfect Pot Review

Image of the Always Pan from Our Place in both standard and mini sizes, with a hand pouring chocolate sauce from the Mini Always Pan over a tart in the Always Pan on the stovetop.
This Our Place Always Pan and Perfect Pot set is all the rage — but is the hype deserved? We think so.

Remember the giant cookware sets our parents had? The ones with oddly specific pieces you used exactly once before shoving them to the back of the cabinet to collect dust? Traditional sets used to be packed with wasteful single-purpose pans, and most home chefs only reached for the same two or three every day anyway.

Well, those days are over. Now, not only are kitchens smaller, brands have also realized that more isn’t always more. Apartment dwellers and minimalists alike are loving cookware that’s compact, versatile, and actually practical for everyday meals (without causing a cabinet avalanche every time you go looking for a lid). Enter Our Place, the modern cookware company revolutionizing the space. From their cult favorite Our Place Always Pan 2.0 (and don’t forget the Our Place Mini Always Pan 2.0!) to their classic Perfect Pot, they’re empowering today’s home cooks to do more with less.

Why Multi-Functional Cookware Became a Viral Trend

That shift is precisely why multi-functional cookware took off. As home cooking content exploded across social media, cookware stopped being just a tool and became part of the aesthetic. People want pieces that can simplify cooking and look beautiful  doing it. The goal? Swap out chaotic, wobbly stacks of pots and pans with a few versatile workhorses — resulting in less clutter, easier cleanup, and a kitchen that feels calm.

With the Our Place Always Pan 2.0 and Perfect Pot, the brand manages to more than deliver on this goal. These products became the glamorous poster children for this movement, with endorsements from celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, who called the Always Pan “the kitchen magician,” and Selena Gomez, who has her own collaborative collection with the brand.

But beyond the hype and Instagram-worthy appearance, how do these pieces actually perform in daily use? This Our Place cookware review will put the brand’s complete ceramic cookware collection through its paces to determine if these multi-tasking tools truly deserve a place in your kitchen.

TL;DR: Which Our Place Piece Is Right for You?

  • The 13-piece Our Place Always Pan and Perfect Pot set stands out for its stylish and modular design, making it perfect for minimalist chefs and small kitchens.
  • The whole set makes use of Our Place’s proprietary ceramic nonstick coating, Thermakind®, which is made without PFAS or heavy metals like lead and cadmium.
  • This set is a great option for those looking for a complete solution for light to moderate everyday cooking that’s also beautiful, non-toxic, and multi-functional.
  • Individual items range from $100-$140, or you can unlock excellent savings on the complete set at $325.

What Our Place Cookware Is Actually Made Of (and Why It’s Safe)

Before we get into the individual pieces, here’s the part that matters most for a clean kitchen: what’s under the hood. Every piece in the lineup, from the Our Place Always Pan 2.0 down to the Mini Perfect Pot 2.0, is built on a solid cast aluminum core, rather than pressing individual layers together. That’s what gives the cookware its even heating without hot spots, while still offering a lighter weight than stainless-clad options.

From there, that aluminum core is fully encased in Our Place’s proprietary Thermakind ceramic coating, so your food never actually touches the aluminum. The coating is made without PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ (PTFE, PFOA) and heavy metals like lead and cadmium — and that’s not just a marketing line. Consumer Reports tested the cookware for 96 different PFAS chemicals and found none1, and Our Place has run its own leachability testing to confirm nothing migrates into your food.

This doesn’t exactly come as a surprise — Our Place is known for using clean materials in everything from their Wonder Oven Pro (and the earlier version, the 6-in-1 Wonder Oven) to their chic Essentials Collection. Still, it’s not a given in the industry, and it’s a key selling point for Our Place. The short version: you get the heat conduction of aluminum with none of the contact, and the ease of nonstick with none of the synthetic PFAS. Ultimately, this Our Place Always Pan 2.0 review solidified the brand’s spot on our list of the 9 Best Non-Toxic Cookware of 2026.

Our Place Ceramic Cookware Set: A Closer Look

Let’s dive into the basics. Here’s what the Our Place Ceramic Cookware Set includes, the colorways available, and how we evaluated each piece.

Image of the 13 pieces included in the Our Place Always Pan and Perfect Pot set in Blue Salt.

What’s Included in a Set

  • Beechwood Spatulas (set of 2)
  • 10.5-inch Always Pan 2.0 with lid
  • 8.5-inch Mini Always Pan 2.0 with lid
  • 5.5-quart Perfect Pot with lid
  • 2.5-quart Mini Perfect Pot 2.0 with lid
  • 9.7-inch Steamer Basket
  • Beechwood Spoons (set of 2)

If a full set is more than you need, or you’re not sure Our Place is right for you, you can also buy the pieces a la carte to test the waters first.

Color Options

Available in eight sophisticated colorways (Spice, Blue Salt, Steam, Sage, Char, Butter Yellow, Vanilla Bean, and Forget-Me-Not Blue), the set delivers on Our Place’s signature aesthetic appeal. These contemporary hues offer a little something for everyone and look just as good serving up a stir-fry as they do displayed on your stovetop.

How We Evaluated Each Piece

Rather than rate the set as a whole, we held up each piece to the same core checklist and adjusted for what they’re individually built to do so you can see exactly where each one shines (and where it might fall short):

  • Nonstick performance — how cleanly food releases from the Thermakind® coating
  • Versatility — how many traditional tools it can realistically replace
  • Heat distribution — how evenly it cooks, and whether hot spots show up
  • Ease of cleaning — how much effort cleanup actually requires
  • Durability — how the coating and body hold up with regular use
  • Handling — how easy it is to lift and maneuver around the kitchen
  • Oven performance — how it transitions from stovetop to oven (and how much heat it can handle)
  • Value — what you get for the price, on its own and as part of the set

BTW, you won’t see safety as its own scoring category — every piece clears that bar by default, so we didn’t rate it individually.

My Experience Cooking With Our Place’s Ceramic Nonstick Cookware

Image of the Our Place Always Pan 2.0 on a black stovetop, filled with bright fried greens.
I’ve used this Our Place pan to cook every kind of dish, from eggs to greens to delicate fish — the cookware worked like a charm for all types of meals. – Credit: Laura Klein, Organic Authority

I’ve cooked everything in the Always Pan 2.0 and Perfect Pot, from delicate dishes like scrambled eggs and fish to hearty proteins like chicken and steaks. The pans also performed very well with vegetables like shaved Brussels sprouts and chopped kale. And the large Perfect Pot is one of my favorites for soups and stews, like this gorgeous brothy bean soup and this spicy chicken tortilla soup.

I like to brown and caramelize my food for extra layers of flavor, and these pans passed with flying colors. Not only did the skin come out crispy on my fish the way my husband likes it, but it also nicely browned chicken sausages and shaved Brussels sprouts. Win and win.

Ideal cooking temperature: Low to medium heat. It will tolerate medium-high heat and does brown food (just keep an eye on it).

“I love these pans. Nothing sticks and I know I’m using nonstick without harmful chemicals. It’s a breeze to clean.”

Leslie G., verified customer

“These pans are worth the price. They cook anything evenly and with efficiency. They were a gift for my mom and she loves them. I love that it came with its own spatulas and a place to put them. Thank you so much for your commitment and care in making these pans.”

Kiara G., verified customer

The Always Pan 2.0

The famous Our Place Always Pan has come a long way. According to the brand, the new ceramic nonstick coating on the Our Place Always Pan 2.0 lasts 50% longer than their previous version, and it shows.

Some of my most-loved features (and the features most commonly mentioned in the Our Place Always Pan 2.0 reviews!) have to do with the shape and size of this gorgeous pan. The deep walls make it just right for cooking bigger family meals and hosting dinner parties. The curved sides make it easy to flip an egg, and the wide cooking surface browns food incredibly well. And the pour spouts on both sides of the pan allow for pouring pan sauces over your dishes without a mess running down the side of your pan.. Another thoughtful touch is the innovative wooden spoon holder, which keeps your kitchen counters free of potentially stain-inducing drips.

Plus, the helper handle quickly became another favorite feature. It makes maneuvering a pan full of food around the kitchen manageable. The aluminum construction does mean that the handles will get hot during stovetop or oven use, so pot holders or a thick dish towel are necessary  when handling. The long, square shape of the handles may also take a bit of getting used to if you’re used to curved handles, but that will depend on your personal preference.

Specs:

  • Standard (10.5-inch) pan
  • Size: 19.9’’ L x 2.8’’ D x 5.7’’ H with lid
  • Capacity: 2.6-quart
  • Oven-safe up to 450°F
  • Price: $135 $95 at time of publish

Additional Accessories

Another unique aspect of Our Place’s cookware system is the ability to purchase innovative accessories designed to seamlessly enhance your pots and pans. For example, if you love frying up your fave homemade dumplings, they have a Fry Deck to drip dry and rest your food while keeping it warm. The Fearless Fry is a handy frying splatter guard made to protect from even the messiest deep fries, and the Egg Poacher is perfect for Sunday morning brunch. Their handmade Tagine slots neatly on top of your Always Pan for an authentic Moroccan slow cook, and their Flipping Platter is perfect for your upside-down cake or Maqluba recipes.

The Mini Always Pan 2.0

Image of the Our Place Mini Always Pan with lid in Spice, sitting on a rack inside an oven.

This compact Our Place Mini Always Pan 2.0 is designed for smaller servings, but it delivers on the same big features.

This smaller size boasts the same Thermakind ceramic nonstick coating made without PFAS like PTFE and PFOA, the same no-fuss cleanup, and that familiar pretty silhouette. Everything you already know and love, just delivered in an even more space-saving size.

This pan is beloved as a secondary pan or solo-cooking tool for eggs, sauces, side dishes, and reheating (particularly if, like me, you don’t have a microwave). It’s probably perfect for quick breakfasts or a bachelor(ette) pad, but most Our Place Mini Always Pan 2.0 reviews agree it’s too small to be your only pan if you’re cooking for more than one on the regular.

Criteria Evaluation

  • Nonstick performance: 5/5 — same Thermakind® 2.0 coating as the full-size; identical release quality

The Perfect Pot

The Perfect Pot from Our Place is a versatile 5.5-quart nonstick stock pot that covers a lot of functions: boil, bake, roast, braise, and more. (Although if your main objective is to bake, may we suggest our list of best non-toxic bakeware options?

Lighter than a traditional Dutch oven but just as functional, it’s a welcome addition to any bustling home kitchen. It’s large enough to roast a whole chicken, veg, and so much more. Plus, even though it can hold a heck of a lot of food, it’s still lightweight enough to easily go from stovetop to sink.

Just about every Our Place Perfect Pot review calls it the workhorse of the collection, and I’d agree. People like using it for soups, stews, pastas, braises, roast chicken, and even bread — all at a much more maneuverable and accessible starting point than cast iron. The one caveat: it doesn’t hold heat as long as cast iron, so it may not be the best pick for hours-long braises or aggressive high-heat searing.

Specs:

  • Size: 10.5’’ Diameter x 5.5’’ Depth
  • Capacity: 5.5-quart

  • Heat retention: 3.5/5 — aluminum loses heat faster than cast iron; an honest trade-off for the weight advantage
  • Ease of cleaning: 5/5 — nonstick surface releases slow-cooking residue easily
  • Value: 4.5/5 — $149 for a versatile pot that replaces a Dutch oven for most everyday cooks
Pros Cons
Much lighter and easier to handle than traditional cast iron Dutch ovens Does not retain heat as long as cast iron
Large 5.5-quart size works well for soups, stews, roasts, and bread baking Not ideal for extremely high-heat searing
Thermakind® ceramic nonstick coating makes cleanup easier Ceramic coating requires gentler care than bare cast iron

The Mini Perfect Pot 2.0

This pint-sized version of the Perfect Pot from Our Place, AKA the Our Place Mini Perfect Pot 2.0, keeps all the loveable features of the full-sized version but trims them down for smaller uses and households (and adds a nifty handle).

Its 2.5-quart size makes it just right for dishes like oatmeal, rice, sauces, and reheating soup. It still features their classic Thermakind coating, and also includes a nesting Beechwood Spoon, pour spouts, and the same versatile oven-safe design.

I think this piece is underrated, and the Mini Perfect Pot 2.0 reviews agree. There are so many dishes that just don’t call for whipping out the big guns, and this pan delivers for weeknight grain portions and soupy sides. Plus, the added side handle feels like a real upgrade over the original. The lone knock is its capacity — I think of this as a companion pot, not your primary for prep cooking or big-batch meals.

Image of the Perfect Pot in Blue shown with the lid and spoon separately.

Specs:

  • Mini 8.5-inch pot
  • Size: 16.9-inch length, 4.2-inch depth, 6.7-inch height with lid
  • Capacity: 2.5-quart
  • Oven-safe up to 450°F
  • Price: $125 $89 at time of publish

Criteria Evaluation

  • Nonstick performance: 5/5 — same Thermakind® coating quality; rice and oatmeal release cleanly with no sticking
  • Ease of cleaning: 5/5 — compact size makes it one of the easiest pieces in the set to clean
  • Handling: 5/5 — the added long handle in the mini version makes a noticeable difference vs. the original
  • Versatility (for its size): 3.5/5 — excellent at what it’s designed for; not versatile beyond small-batch tasks
  • Value: 4/5 — reasonable as part of a complete set; harder to justify as a standalone single-use purchase
Pros Cons
Excellent size for rice, oatmeal, sauces, and reheating smaller portions Too small to function as a primary cooking pot for most households
Added side handle improves maneuverability over the original version Limited capacity for batch cooking or larger soups and stews
Thermakind® ceramic nonstick coating makes cleanup easy Ceramic coating requires gentle care and moderate heat
Compact design stores easily in smaller kitchens and apartments Works best as a companion to the full Perfect Pot rather than a replacement

Price & Value: Which Pieces Should You Buy First?

You’re generally going to get the best value out of a complete set, but we understand that not everyone is a) ready to commit or b) in need of every single piece included. Here’s how we’d approach these pieces based on your specific situation.

How the Four Pieces Stack Up at a Glance:

Product Best For Capacity Price
Always Pan 2.0 Everyday cooking, one-pan meals, sautéing, steaming, braising, and family-style meals for 2 to 4 2.6-quart / 10.5-inch pan $135
Mini Always Pan 2.0 Solo cooking, side dishes, reheating leftovers, and compact kitchens 1.2-quart / 8.5-inch pan $109
Perfect Pot Soups, stews, brothy beans, roasted chicken, bread baking, and larger one-pot meals 5.5-quart / 10.5-inch pot $149
Mini Perfect Pot 2.0 Rice, grains, oatmeal, sauces, and reheating smaller portions for 1 to 2 2.5-quart / 8.5-inch pot $125

A La Carte vs. the Full Set

Image of four Our Place pieces with lids in Vanilla Bean — the Always Pan, Perfect Pot, and mini versions of both.
Regardless of whether you go for individual products or a set, each Our Place piece is multi-functional and chic. – Credit: Our Place

Bought individually, the four pieces would cost you about $518 in total. The full 13-piece set comes in at $325, a savings of roughly $193. If you know you want more than one or two pieces, the set is the obvious value play.

Our Place also offers duo bundles for common pairings (check their site for current combos) and runs seasonal promotions around Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Black Friday — so if you’re not in a rush, it’s worth timing your purchase around a sale.

If You’re Buying One Piece at a Time

Not ready to commit to the full set? Here’s the order I’d buy in:

  • Our Place Always Pan 2.0: The most versatile piece, and the one you’ll reach for daily
  • Perfect Pot: The most unique functionality, from soups to roast chicken to bread
  • Our Place Mini Perfect Pot 2.0: Ideal for everyday grains, oatmeal, and sauces
  • Our Place Mini Always Pan 2.0: A great complement, but the least essential piece for most cooks

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the Thermakind® nonstick coating last?

Ceramic nonstick cookware naturally requires more care than stainless steel or cast iron. That said, from my testing, the upgraded Thermakind® coating on the 2.0 collection has held up better than many ceramic nonstick pans I’ve used before. Our Place claims that their 2.0 ceramic coating lasts 50% longer than the prior version, and it’s an upgrade that’s paid off. Longevity will ultimately depend on cooking habits and care, but using low-to-medium heat, avoiding abrasive scrubbers, and sticking to wood or silicone utensils can make a major difference. With proper care, I can realistically see these pieces lasting several years in your regular home cooking rotation.

Can the Always Pan and Perfect Pot go in the oven?

Yes. The Our Place Always Pan 2.0, Our Place Mini Always Pan 2.0, Perfect Pot, and Our Place Mini Perfect Pot 2.0 are all oven-safe up to 450°F. That flexibility makes them especially useful for recipes that move from stovetop to oven, like baked pasta, roasted chicken, braises, or bread baking. However, Our Place does not recommend using them under the broiler.

Are these pieces dishwasher-safe?

While some of the cookware may technically be dishwasher-safe, I strongly recommend hand washing if you want to preserve the ceramic nonstick coating for as long as possible.
One advantage of these pieces is that they’re noticeably lighter than options like cast iron, which makes hand washing much easier. In most cases, warm water, mild soap, and a soft sponge are enough for cleanup.

Can you use metal utensils with Our Place pieces?

I would avoid metal utensils entirely with these pots and pans. Like most ceramic nonstick cookware, the Thermakind® coating can scratch over time if exposed to metal utensils or abrasive cleaning tools.
The included Beechwood utensils work well, and silicone tools are another safe option for protecting the coating and extending the lifespan of the cookware.

What’s the warranty on the Our Place Always Pan 2.0 and Perfect Pot?

Our Place offers a limited 1-year warranty if you follow their easy care instructions. You can read more about their policy on their website.

Is Our Place Cookware Worth It? The Bottom Line

Image of the Our Place Always Pan and Perfect Pot in limited edition colorway, Forget-Me-Not Blue.
If you’re someone who wants to invest in a select few pieces that make your kitchen more beautiful and more functional, Our Place is a great option. – Credit: Our Place

The Our Place Always Pan 2.0, Perfect Pot, and their mini versions sit firmly in the premium ceramic nonstick category, and IMHO, they’re worth the investment. They’re eye-catching, durable (for nonstick cookware), and they tackled everything I threw at them with ease.

Let’s put it this way: They’re a much more worthy investment than the low-end, flimsy imitations that end up in the recycling bin in as little as three months. Believe me, I’ve tested those and they’re never worth it. What you might save in upfront cost will soon end up doubling when you have to go right back out and get a whole new set. If the full set isn’t in your budget right now, I recommend buying one solid piece and building your collection over time.

The Honest Picture of Who This Cookware Is For

These Our Place pieces are best for the day-to-day needs of most casual home cooks — eggs, vegetables, fish, grains, sauces, and one pan meals over low-to-medium heat. The multi-functional design genuinely cuts down on kitchen clutter, replacing several single-taskers with a few pieces that pull double (and triple) duty.

It’s not built for cooks looking for aggressive high-heat searing or hard, commercial-style use, and the ceramic surface needs reasonable care to stay in top shape. But if you’re prioritizing convenience, easy cleanup, thoughtful design, and cookware made without PFAS, Our Place delivers a rare balance of a chic aesthetic and every day usability.
