The chance to get back into Soccer action, coupled with the accountability of being a part of his team in MAN v FAT, has got Ricky Perez heading in the right direction with his health and fitness.
Ricky is part of our West Palm Beach league and has hit the ground running since things got started earlier this year.
He has now lost an impressive 22lbs since getting started with MAN v FAT and is closing in on his 10% weight loss achievement on the program.
“I love fútbol. It used to be my life, but playing while carrying an extra 30 pounds against fit guys who could run circles around me took some of the fun out of it,” Ricky explained.
“This league levels the playing field and makes the game enjoyable again, instead of every play feeling like a race to the ball.
“MAN v FAT has helped me hold myself accountable. I don’t want to let my team down by gaining weight during the season, so I think twice about what I eat and make the effort to get to the gym. I’ve really enjoyed competing and earning those extra points for my team.”

Not only has he rediscovered his mojo with a soccer ball at his feet, Ricky has also learned a lot about how to tackle his general wellbeing on the program.
In terms of the biggest thing he’s learned to date, he said: “Tracking what I eat and staying consistent with injury-preventing workouts have been key for me.
“For any other guys thinking of joining, that extra accountability is priceless. It’s also a great community where you feel comfortable, supported, and inspired to keep improving.”
